Patrick Bungard
About Patrick Bungard
Patrick Bungard supports companies and nonprofit organizations in aligning their core strengths and operating models with solutions to global challenges – combining strategic clarity with meaningful societal impact.
With over two decades of experience across sectors – from multinational corporations to foundations and NGOs – he helps organizations design future-ready strategies and purpose-driven business models. His work is grounded in the belief that long-term success stems not just from minimizing harm, but from actively contributing to positive societal transformation. This thinking also informed the Convergence Thesis, which he co-developed – a framework that views economic and societal value creation as fundamentally interconnected.
Current Roles & Strategic Approach
As co-founder and CEO of Tetranomics SE, Patrick and his team use advanced methods – including AI-based tools – to help organizations unlock their strategic potential and amplify their impact. He also serves as Co-Chair for Economics and Sustainability and is a member of the Traction Advisory Board at the Parmenides Foundation, where he co-developed the Hybrid Intelligence approach. This method combines the strengths of artificial intelligence and human cognition to support complex strategic decision-making.

In recent years, Patrick has advised more than 50 organizations – including global industry leaders and DAX-listed companies – in developing viable, future-proof strategies. He has also designed executive training programs for institutions such as the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and Haufe Management Programs.
Previously, he founded M3trix, which was later acquired by Paradigmatic Innovations GmbH, and served as founding director of the Center for Sustainable Management at Cologne Business School.
